Stamped Concrete
If you are looking for a way to put a unique touch on your driveway, your patio or even just a corridor in your business or something like that stamped concrete may be the best way to go. The concept behind stamped concrete is overly simple. What we are going to be doing is literally placing stamps with unique designs in them on the wet concrete. So that when the concrete dries it is going to have a unique pattern running across it. If this is a way that you would like your concrete surface to be designed then read on this might interest you!
Deciding In The Planning Stage Of The Project We just wanted to throw this out there as a little bit of a warning. We are going to want to know the type of concrete surface that you are going to want us to build before we start laying down concrete. A lot of times in the middle of the project people want to look at stamped concrete as an option. They are letting us know when the first layer of concrete has already dried up. Of course, we could start over at that point, but it is going to cost you more money. Usually, with the decorations, we want to know ahead of time so that we can plan them out. Can I Create My Own Stamp? This is one of the major benefits that you are going to get from working with us. There is no set catalog that we live by where you can just pick out certain stamps that are there. It is actually quite the opposite the last thing that we are going to want to do is limit your options. If you are looking for a unique design in your stamped concrete we can help you achieve that. Stamping a Pre-Made Concrete Surface This is something that we kind of touched upon beforehand, but we want to address it again for those people who may think that they could be interested in stamping the concrete surface that they already have made. There are actually some companies that want to tell you that this can be done. What they are going to be doing is just adding another layer of concrete and then stamping over that new layer. Usually what we would have to do, is at the very least prep the concrete as if we were going to polish it. Then we could add a new layer of concrete even then it is less than ideal. Can You Add Color To Stamps? Yes, this is actually another possibility. Usually how it works is that we are going to stamp the concrete and we are going to allow it to dry to make sure that we get the perfect shape that we are looking for. Once it is basically dry then we can use different types of paint to make the area even more unique. It just another one of the possibilities that we bring to the table. |
